Okay here's how the review is going to work. I will be talking about the Game in 4 different sections I will have Plot, Game play, Graphics, Enjoyment and I will give my verdict at the end of the review by using one of my 3 special ratings:-
- Buy It
- Rent It
- FUCK IT!
See what I did there also using traffic light colors OH HOOOO I'M SO CLEVER!
*Ahem* any-ho Here's the first review I will be reviewing Injustice Gods Among Us, For PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. It is based on some of the most popular DC Comic book characters all within a brawler/fighting game, I will not be going in depth with the mechanics I will be reviewing specifically the PlayStation 3 version because well this is the only version I own DON'T JUDGE ME! Now Let us begin with the review.

Plot.
So yes there's a plot usually in these thing's called games so PLOT let's start here. The story of Injustice is a pretty simple story about... Hang on I might as well tell you I will be telling SPOILERS here so just be careful what you read next you have been warned. The plot starts when The Joker destroying Metropolis I mean can this guy be anymore of a prick. After killing over 8 million people the joker get's captured and interrogated by Batman. But then oh noes! Superman comes bursting in and threatens The Joker but as we know Superman is a boy-scout when villains are concerned put them in jail and let them break out again to cause some other kind of plan that will kill millions. But in this case Superman loses his shit and knocks Batman out of the way and punches The Joker through the chest and when this happened I was like hollllyyyyy shit! Superman actually did it and it was bad ass. We then time skip back to earlier and the Justice League are battling a bunch of villains, and The Joker has a nuke primed to explode in Metropolis and when the Justice League find out they all try to do a massive zerg rush on Joker but something happens and some form of blue beams hit the team and Joker and WHOOPS! They land in an alternate dimension where Superman has become a ruler of Earth.
He definitely knows it. But from what the plot is it's nothing special as we've seen in plenty of other DC comic stories, trying to show what would the heroes do if they turned evil and took over the world. The story does do a decent job of keeping your interest throughout especially seeing the final fight which I wont spoil for you. The one problem I have with the story though is that it feels a bit rushed at times and is very short only 3-4 hours long. This still is though a welcome edition to the fighting genre and I hope other developers pick up on this feature in the future.
Game Play.
Now we go onto the game play which by the way is absolutely fantastic it really does feel like gods are fighting, seeing Green Lantern form 4 jets to slam into Solomon Grundy is a spectacle I didn't expect from a fighting game. The best way I can describe the fighting mechanics in this game though it's kinda like Tekken Tag 2 with a mix of Mortal Kombat you can play the game as simple as you want and still be in a chance of winning a fight, but if you want to chain combos and linking them in with special moves, jungle your opponent and all that bullshit you can if you are willing to put in the effort to learn them. Which I would say I am a casual fighting fan some of my favs are the ones I've mentioned and also some Street Fighter is good. But Injustice does feel unique enough with it's casual/serious game play feel when in combat. Another great feature with the combat is the Super meter which works the same way as the X-ray bar in Mortal Kombat you can build up the meter and use it in various ways, like using it to make your special moves more powerful, breaking opponents combos, and also performing the best with is the Super move which is a powerful attack that can be used on your opponent. Which are done in a Dragon Ball Z style like Superman will punch his enemies into the air and into SPAAACCCEE and then slams them back down to the earth causing major damage.
Another feature with the super meter is the Wager Mode which I actually find is the only pointless feature in the game. it just interrupts the flow of combat, what happens is when your on your second life bar you can wager your super meter and choose how much you want to use who ever uses the most will win the wager if the person who used it wins they get some health back depending on how much of the meter they used. if the opponent wins they will deal some extra damage on the enemy. I feel it hurts the combat because when you do win the wager match you don't really get that much health back and when your fighting a better opponent it doesn't really make that much difference, it's far better to use the meter to pull off your Super Move so you can inflict some damage on your enemy.
Overall I think the game play is great fun gather some friends and give a bash but don't beat the shit out of your friends for losing please! I learned that the hard way and now have too many restraining orders so now I can only see my friends through a computer screen...
I think though that the best way to convey this to you is to show you some gameplay so here's a little video from Youtube showing some Gameplay of the combat from Injustice Gods Among Us. Showing off 2 characters Ares and Killer Frost both are very fun to use in the game.
Graphics.
Now onto the graphics, the graphics are excellent showing off major detail in the characters and the backgrounds are awesome and very interactive during fights.
You can throw objects at one another, slam opponents into buildings and statues and other objects. The best thing you can do though is send the enemy flying into another part of the level because some arenas have multiple areas of the levels and you can hit your enemies into those sections while also inflicting some damage on your enemy. Also while battling it out with one another the level will get more destroyed as you fight, you can really see the contrast when a battle is over and the destruction you have left in your wake is truly awesome!
Enjoyment.
I personally love this game I think it gives a lot of substance and depth we rarely see in a fighting game. It has a lot of different gameplay modes to play with (heh did you see what I did there.) for instance you have Story mode, battle mode which is pretty much arcade mode where you fight 10 opponents and get an ending with that character. But a great feature is you can unlock different variations of battle like having to complete a battle mode while poisoned or only having 30 seconds to beat each enemy. it add more variety to a standard mode which is always welcome. You then also have a mode which is similar to Mortal Kombat's Challenge Tower mode which is called S.T.A.R. Labs which you do 250 missions having roughly 10 for each character, which gives you different challenges to do like being a cat and having to sneak through a museum dodging sensors and guards. Some of these challenges are hard and frustrating especaily when trying to get all 3 star on each challenge which is similar to AngryBirds.
S.T.A.R. Labs missions also help you unlock alternative costumes for all 25 characters within the game and also unlock other great stuff like music, artwork and other awesome content. Finally we also have Online Multiplayer where you can engage in combat with your friends online or random spamming mother fuckers you don't know but wish you could kill in real life... *Ahem* sorry got a bit carried away there. The best mode by far online is King of the hill where 8 people can battle it out to see who is the top dog. As well as all these great modes Injustice Gods Among us is also having 4 DLC characters coming soon. The first one is already out now which Lobo and he is a bad ass! there is a video to your left showing some of his gameplay which hopefully may intice you to buy him. Buying the season pass is worth it because it's only £14.99 in the UK and gets you all 4 DLC characters as they are released. Lobo is out now and Batgirl is the next to come who also looks badass to play as.
I am going to wrap up this review which has gone on much longer than I anticipated. I will give this simply a BUY IT rating it does a lot of things right whilst giving you a lot of bang for your buck, different game modes a lot of playable characters and with more on the way I can say that this game will keep you entertained for a while.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this review and stay tuned I shall be posting a review every Sunday so keep checking back!

| Oh Ares you better clean your armor! (don't worry you don't clean his armor as a mini game that would be boring!) |
